To add extra fun and excitement to these magical moments, nothing beats games that fit the enchanting ambiance of the flames and warm marshmallows.

Here’s a selection from your hosts Jo and Mel of the best campfire games for laughter, friendly competition, and bonding.

Campfire Games: Spooky Fun

Start gently with a classic:

Werewolf: The idea is simple: two tribes face off in a village — the werewolves and the villagers. Each night, a villager is mysteriously “eliminated.” The surviving villagers’ goal is to unmask the werewolf.

Scary Stories: Ghost Stories — Add a touch of thrill to the evening by telling ghost stories. Take turns sharing a spooky tale you’ve heard or invented. Make sure you have plenty of blankets for comfort afterward!

Outdoor Games: Fun for Kids

Charades: A timeless classic. Participants take turns acting out a movie, book, word, or phrase while others guess. Confusion and laughter are guaranteed!

The "If I Had..." Game: This game sparks imagination and dreams. Each player takes a turn saying, “If I had…,” completing the sentence with something they’d like to own, a place they’d like to visit, or an adventure they’d like to experience. Other participants can then ask questions about this imagined scenario.

“Who Am I?” Game: Each person writes the name of a celebrity on a sticky note and sticks it on a neighbor’s forehead (no sticky note? Just slightly dampen the paper, and it will stick). Each turn, players can only ask yes-or-no questions to guess who they are.

For the Competitive Ones

Marshmallow Roasting Contest: A campfire classic! Each participant gets a stick and a marshmallow to roast over the flames. The goal is a perfectly toasted exterior with a gooey inside. You can even hold a contest to see who does it best.

Music Quiz: Test your musical knowledge with a campfire quiz. One person plays a few notes of a song on guitar or a musical device, and the others guess the title and artist. A fun way to discover everyone’s music tastes!

Time’s Up: Two or three teams compete over three rounds. First, players write words (celebrities, animals, objects, etc.). Round 1: Players try to get their teammates to guess as many cards as possible in 30 seconds using any words. Round 2: Guess using only one word — memory skills required! Round 3: Guess through charades, still in 30 seconds. The team with the most points wins!
